FAQs

Our process is simple and easy to follow! Let's have a quick look at how we do things around here.

  • Why should I choose Veronica Filice Services?
The main difference is the support that VF provides to its clients. She dives deep into strategic brand development (think voice and messaging) and goes far beyond superficial aesthetics to create conversion-driven brands and websites. I believe that your visual identity and website should work for you, rather than make more work for you. That's why I equip you with all the tools you need to successfully move forward with your new brand.
  • Who do I work with?
I provide branding and web design for small and medium sized businesses, small creative companies, and sole proprietors who are ready to grow. I love working with like-minded creatives who recognise the value of an elevated, intentional brand - whether they are just starting out or have been in business for years.
  • Do you work with new business owners?
We do! Whether your business is in its humble beginnings, or you're years into your journey and ready to dive into a rebrand—we love partnering with passionate creatives who understand the value in developing a strategy-based brand identities and websites.
  • Do you have a particular style? My style is clean. Is that OK?
We love designing for a variety of aesthetics, including dark and soulful styles. Our goal is always to disappear into each design project while keeping your brand's individuality and your audience's desires at the forefront.
  • How long does the experience take?
It takes between 2and 12 weeks to complete a project, with the timeline depending on your timely communication and content readiness. You will be given a timeline for the project so you know exactly when both you and we need to be done with everything. I keep you informed and involved without overwhelming you with unnecessary information.
  • Do I need to book in advance?
I typically book 1-3 months in advance. I recommend contacting me as soon as you are thinking about working with a designer, well in advance of your deadline or launch date.
  • Is the cost of fonts or images included in the project investment?
No. The client is responsible for purchasing fontsand images for use in the client/designer's project to obtain a proper legal license for use in the project. The client owns the fonts and can use them for any further use after our project is completed. The fonts will be billed separately to the client and the files will be provided at the end of the project.
  • What is your design process like?
So glad you asked! Below you'll find an overview of our design process. An effortless experience awaits. 01. Discovery Meeting After submitting your project inquiry, we’ll schedule a discovery call to chat about your vision and goals. If we’re a right fit, we’ll make it official on paper and reserve your project on our calendar before beginning the deep-dive into your business that acts as the foundation for a renewed visual identity and a hard-working website. 02. Tell Us Everything Upon booking, you'll receive brand strategy worksheets or design questionnaires (depending on your project type) to complete before the design phase begins. Much more than a surface-level questionnaire, these worksheets are designed to help us get to the heart of your values, voice, audience, and aesthetic—equipping you with all of the tools you need to look, act, and speak the part. If your project includes web design, you’ll also receive our signature Website Planner to help you curate your content with confidence. 03. Design and Development We’ll develop a sound strategy based on your worksheet answers, followed by a Creative Direction brief that includes a mood board to set the tone for your new visual identity. After approval, we’ll begin designing your logos and any additional branding elements. If your experience includes web design, it’s then on to bringing everything to life online through a conversion-driven custom Showit site. Psst...we’ll ensure you have plenty of say along the way, without overwhelming you with ill-fit choices or tedious to-dos. 04. From Our Hands to Yours After we’ve journeyed through refinements and made sure you feel confident with every last detail, we’ll package up your final files to be delivered through your download folder. If your project includes custom Showit website design, you’ll receive access to our Client Resource Library, ensuring you’re empowered to move forward with—and make the most of—your new website. 05. Cocktails, Anyone? As things come to a close, we'll equip you with everything you need to launch your new brand with confidence—because we're invested in your success every step of the way. Included in your download folder you’ll find custom launch graphics to share on social media—as well as a strategy-based launch guide to help you announce your new visual identity with intention. Get ready to raise a glass and revel in a renewed sense of purpose. Endless possibilities lie ahead!
  • Content preparation: What do I need to have ready before our branding project begins?
Before we begin design and prior to our official project launch, you will be given a timeline to complete all questionnaires and our Brand Strategy Worksheet. These are due according to the project timeline you will receive when you book your project and sign our contract. Late Content Fees: If you do not meet the content due dates, your project will be moved to the next available slot on our calendar. You will also have to pay a 50% fee to re-book your project. I charge late fees to ensure that my clients are serious about moving forward with the project and are committed to preparing and submitting content on time for a smooth and enjoyable project. I book projects several months in advance, and our project timelines and due dates ensure that we give our clients the appropriate amount of time a project deserves. If your content is not ready on time, it can cause us to have to turn down other projects, which results in lost revenue and potentially impacts our overall annual schedule.
  • What types of logos are included in your branding packages?
Logo descriptions: Primary logo (main logo used for website and primary brand applications where a full logo is required. Often in horizontal form). Secondary Logo (Another version of the primary logo. May be stacked or vertical if the primary logo does not fit). Subbrand (A simplified version. Can be used for social media, stickers, stamps, etc. Often circular.) Monogram (Initials of the business name. Taken on a case-by-case basis and may not be appropriate for every project). Icon (A simplified symbol that becomes a recognizable part of your brand. Can be used separately and/or within logo variations).
  • What files will I receive?
You will receive AI, PNG, JPG, EPS and SVG file formats. You'll also receive resources to help you after our project is complete, including our brand style guide, color codes, a font hierarchy, a launch guide, and more - so you'll have everything you need to succeed for years to come.
  • What's included in the Brand Style Guide?
You'll receive a detailed 25+ page Brand Style Guide that includes your brand strategy, visual brand elements, explanations of file types and how to use them correctly, color codes for your color palette, how to use brand fonts and download links, tips on how to best use your new brand elements, recommendations on visual guidelines, and much more. Consider this guide your go-to resource when implementing and referencing anything for your brand. It can also be used when you are hiring team members, adding new components to your business, etc. Remember, consistency is key to building a successful, memorable brand and instills confidence in your audience. Your brand style guide is essential to keeping your branding consistent and remarkable.
  • Do you offer copywriting?
At this time, we do not offer copywriting services; however, we have a trusted referral list of amazing copywriters ready to partner with you for your copy needs. We also provide plenty of insight into messaging through our Brand Strategy Worksheet, as well as our Website Content Planner that includes prompts regarding what to write for each page of your website, which will help you craft your own website text should you feel comfortable doing so.
  • How much is the investment?
Because this is such an important step for your brand, I create custom quotes for every client, starting by offering preset packages (this ensures you pay for only the things you need). Most of our clients invest $5-25K+ though there are outliers on both sides, with payment plans available.
  • Is it worth the investment? Why should I spend so much on brand and web design?
As an outcome-driven, conversion-focused design studio, professional branding and web design through AFD is an investment that allows you to build trust with your audience and convert quality leads into the happiest clients. Today’s consumers are incredibly savvy—they expect a brand to compel and move them before they’re willing to sign on the dotted line or make the purchase. Branding and web design is the clearest avenue to creating an immediate sense of trust and emotional interest with your ideal client. The other major bonus? We rely on timeless design to ensure your brand has longevity—so you won’t need to rebrand year after year. But investing in professional branding isn’t just about the business wins it brings; it’s also highly personal. It provides the kind of confidence you can’t put a price-tag on—and adds ease to your professional life so you can spend more time on your personal life. When your website and branding materials accurately reflect the quality of work you produce—and actively attract the level of clientele you want to work with—you’re left to spend your time and energy that much more intentionally.
  • Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! Payment plans are available, with a 30% non-refundable deposit due upon booking. If opting for a payment plan, auto-pay must be enabled and your plan will likely extend beyond the completion of our project. We want to ensure your investment is as easy and seamless as possible. Don't hesitate to reach out with questions!
  • Is my deposit refundable?
No. We require a 30% non-refundable deposit that is due upon booking. It is our way of securing your spot on our calendar. We book projects 1-3 months ahead of time and scheduling ensures that we give all of our clients the proper amount of time that a project deserves. As a result, we turn away clients for your reserved time slot. If you're unable to commit to our project, you may leave an empty spot that could have been given to another project. Deposits ensure that clients are serious about moving forward and commited to the project.
